Historical Milestones and Important Events
- The year 2004 got significance in the History of ADM College. During this year the NAAC Peer Team with Prof. Siddappa as Chairman and Head and his team members visited and assessed the Institution. The College was awarded 'A' grade by NAAC.
- The UGC expert committee headed by Prof. R.K.Chaugan, Additional Secretary, UGC, and other members visited the college during the same year and Autonomy was granted, launching the college into a new era of academics. Thiru. V. Thangamuthu, the Former Vice Chancellor of Bharathidasan University, conferred the status of Autonomy to ADM College.
- A Triennial inspection committee from Bharathidasan University visited the college during the year 2005. They inspected the entire campus, staff, students and all academic and administrative activities of the college.
- A state level estimate committee with Thiru. V. Mullaivendan, M.L.A., as chairman visited on 08.01.2008 to assess the developmental activities and infrastructural facilities of the college.
- The Autonomous Mid Term Review Committee comprising of three members visited the college during February 2010. They are Dr.S.Muthukumaran, Convenor, Autonomous Review committee and Director, Tamil Nadu State council for Higher Education, Prof. T. Nallathambi, State Government Nominee and Former Joint Director of Collegiate Education, Tiruchirappalli and Dr.J.A.Arul Chellakumar, University Member and Special Secretary to Vice Chancellor, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. The Committee is very much pleased and recommended extension of the autonomy.
Gleanings from History
- The Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the college was a hall mark and was entirely coordinated by Thiru. A. D. Jeyem Pandian, our beloved Chairman in the year 2001.
- IQAC was inaugurated by the then District Collector Thiru. Veera Shanmugamoni in 2004.
- Six UGC sponsored Career Oriented Programmes were inaugurated by the District Collector Thiru. Dr.J. Radhakrishnan in September 2005.
- EDUSAT Network was launched in December 2005.
- English Language Lab was declared open in October 2008.
- A new and fully computerized Library was declared open by Thiru. Veerapandi. S. Arumugam, Honourable Minister for Agriculture, in February 2008.
- A Coaching centre for competitive examinations was opened by the then District Collector Thiru. M. Jeyaraman, in February 2009.
- NCC unit of our college was inaugurated during December 2009.
- A separate computer lab for Mathematics Department was inaugurated during February 2010.
- Consultancy and Instrumentation lab for Chemistry Department was also inaugurated during February 2010.
