Department of History

About the Department

The Department of History was established in 1975 with Pre-University Course.The B.A degree course was offered during 1978-79. The Department offers courses like Tourism, General Knowlege and current Affairs and Archaeology. The Department has MOU with TamilUniversity to enable the students in inscription Decipher training and visits to Historical places. The Department also has Linkages with Daniesh Port,Tranquebar,for Archaeological studies. The students actively participate in co-curricular and extra curricular activities. The Department produces Centum results in the Semester Examinations.
