Courses offered

The college is located in the coastal lines of the Bay of Bengal on a campus of 26 acres of land. The college offers 21 courses in the faculties of Arts, Humanities and sciences, Commerce and Information technology at the undergraduate and post graduate levels. In addition to these courses research programmes are also offered. Three departments are offering M.Phil programmes and five departments offer Ph.D programmes. They are M.Phil Commerce, M.Phil Economics and M.Phil Mathematics. The Commerce department offers Full-time and Part-time Ph.D programmes while Economics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Tamil offer Part-time Ph.D programmes. Apart from the regular courses, 6 UGC sponsored Career Oriented Programmes are offered by the departments in order to develop the skills of the students. Moreover, three vocational training courses are also offered to widen the horizon and potential of the students. All these courses are offered in two streams Aided and Self-financed, Aided in 1st shift (8.30 A.M to 1.30 P.M) and SF in 2nd shift (1.30 A.M to 5.40 P.M).
