About the Department

The department of Economics is a pioneer and distinguished department of A.D.M.College for women. It was established in the Pre- university course, Economics was taught in group c from 1975-78 since the inception of the college, B.A. Economics was started 1978 as a full time 3 years degree course. This department occupies a prominent place in the record of its academic history right from its inception 1978.
P.G. Course was stated in the academic year 1983-84. From 2002-03 this department has become a research wing. The department has many achievements to this credit. The department is producing gold medalist before attaining the autonomous stats and Rank holders in the Autonomous examination every year. A galaxy of experienced staff members are involved in academic and research activities.
