Department of Mathematics
About
Department of Mathematics was established in 1975. The Department offers Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes in Mathematics. In addition, Master of Philisophy programme in various fields of Mathematics goes on in the Department. So far 81 students have successfully completed their M.Phil degree. Now 20 Research Scholors are currently pursuring their Research towards the M.Phil Degree in Mathematics. So far 28 batches have successfully completed the UG programme and 21 batches have completed the PG programme. Many of them are well placed in reputed organizations.
The Department is enriched with commited faculty having a Research aptitude and a good Academic record. The Department is catering to the Educational needs of Young girls hailing from the lowest strata of the society.
Methods of Teaching & other facilities
We are provided with a computer along with printer and an O.H.P separately in the department. Apart from this, a full furnished and well equipped Audio Visual (A.V) room is available in the college for the teachers to make the lectures interesting and more effective. The A.V. Room is provided with a computer, O.H.P & an L.C.D Projector.
