RESEARCH ACTIVITIES
The research culture in ADMC started off in 2004 has now gathered appreciable momentum. Many of our staff members are endowed with an excellent aptitude for research. They are actively taking part in activities such as participating and presenting papers in various Seminars, Workshops and Conferences in India and also abroad, publishing their contributions in Journals, organizing National and State level Seminars and Workshops sponsored by UGC or other funding agencies, undertaking research projects, guiding research scholars and attending Orientation and Refresher courses.

Seminars/Workshops/Conferences/Motivational Programmes Organized
- In 2004, 6 UGC sponsored National Seminars were organized by the departments of Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Zoology, Economics and History.
- The department of Commerce organized Two National Seminars during the years 2006 & 2007 and the department of English organized one Regional workshop, during the year 2007 and all sponsored by UGC.
- In the year 2009, the 7th International Conference on ‘Historic Tamil’ was organized by the department of Tamil in collaboration with Thamilaiya Kalvi Kazhagam. The Conference was inaugurated by the Honourable Minister for Diary Development Thiru.U. Mathivanan. Great personalities from various parts of the country delivered their lectures and 600 people participated and 460 papers were presented. A special award named ‘Kalvi Vendher Award’ was given to our esteemed President for being the best educationalist. Various special programmes like Competitions, Exhibition, Awards and Honours conferred, Felicitations, Books introduced and Cultural programmes were conducted. Dr. G. Ezhiladhirai and Dr.Angeline Glorita Parimala received Senthamil Sudar Virudhu and 47 Staff of our college received Tamil Sudar Virudhu.
- Three National Seminars, sponsored by UGC and other funding agencies, were organized by the departments of Chemistry, Physics and Economics during April and July 2009.
- A One day Seminar on ‘Problems faced by Adolescent Girls’ was organized as a joint venture by National Service Scheme and Red Ribbon Club of our College on 14.08.09 for the Colleges in Nagapattinam and Thiruvarur Districts. The District Collector Thiru.C.Munianathan, IAS, inaugurated the Seminar and the Department of ICDS arranged an Exhibition on ‘Nutrition and Dietics’. About 250 students from 7 Colleges attended the Seminar.
- A UGC sponsored National Seminar on ‘Renewable Energy’ was organized by the Department of Physics in collaboration with the ‘Central Institute of Mining and Research’, CSIR, Jarhand, on 20, 21st January 2011.
- A Motivational programme sponsored by Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology for the talented XI standard students of Nagapattinam District was organized during May 2007.
- A Five day workshop on motivating School teachers was sponsored by The TamilNadu State Council for Science and Technology and it was organized by ADMC on December 20-24, 2010 and was coordinated by Dr. T. Vasanthi.
